Welcome to Paul Toseland (Grain) Ltd

Founded in 2002, Paul Toseland (Grain) Ltd was established to offer growers of combinable crops a totally independent marketing alternative to the International Merchant/Shipper.

As the UK market moves towards the equilibrium of supply and demand, you as the grower are in a much stronger position than that of recent history.

While the national merchants are proud of their links with the end consumer, at Paul Toseland (Grain) Ltd we put more emphasis toward our links with the grower.

Paul Toseland and Guy Palmer are the full time members of staff. This not only enables us to keep tight control of costs, but also means, from purchase through to payment, the removal of annoying tiers of management that can be so difficult to communicate through should a query arise.

Your produce from the combine is sampled by Paul or Guy. Having seen the grain in store, much time is then spent on allocation of each lot of grain to its optimum priced home, with minimum fuss.

PAUL TOSELAND (GRAIN) LTD - A NO NONSENSE INDEPENDENT GRAIN MERCHANT, PUTTING THE FARMER FIRST.

  • Claas Lexion 480 temptation too great for Will Howe
It strikes me that farming is becoming less about skill and husbandry, and rather more a game of Russian roulette. For instance you can apply fertiliser at the correct growth stage, yet its impact will be determined either by the leaching of the monsoon-like rain we have been experiencing; or if it is not raining, the fertiliser will volatilise during the drought.
  • Neil Thomsons cements friendship with Essex growers
About 40 years ago, a group of people eventually boarded a plane at Gatwick bound for the Italian Alps. They had been severely delayed on their journey to the airport after the gear lever of their clapped-out minibus came off in the driver's hand. There was a lot of muttering of discontent about the delay from fellow plane passengers - among these were my parents.
